Zebra Technologies is pleased to announce enhancements to the ZXP Series 8 retransfer card printer

This innovative, best-in-class retransfer card printer now has a new lamination feature, which provides the added security and prolonged card life required by government and high-security applications.

In this second phase of the ZXP Series 8 release, launching 1st July, we are introducing new printer options, ZMotif™ enhancements, and numerous supplies, including the following:

• Lamination—single- or dual-sided
• Option available on the dual-sided printer only
• Available as factory-installed option (not field-upgradeable at this time)
• 10/100 Ethernet firmware—downloadable for printers shipped prior to June 2010
• New True Colours® i Series™ ribbons
• YMCUvK 5 panel ribbon
• YMCKI 5 panel ribbon
• Black monochrome ribbon
• True Secure™ i Series laminates
• Full clear top and bottom laminates
• Clear magnetic stripe and smart card laminates
• Stock laminates with holographic wallpaper in three designs
• Custom holographic laminates, top and bottom
• Custom coded laminates available
• Print station and laminator cleaning kit
• The ZMotif software platform and SDK have been updated to support the new ZXP Series 8 options, features and supplies
